After 8 weeks of not worshiping in our sanctuary because of the COVID-19 virus, the consistory decided that it was time to get back to worshiping in the location. So on May 17, everyone was invited back to church for worship and about 30-40 came. Online services are still be available for those who prefer to stay home since the virus threat has not passed.
Because of that threat, there will be some changes for these first few services that we are back: no greeters or ushers, no passing of the offering plates, no nursery, Sunday School or coffee fellowship. We also encourage everyone to follow CDC guidelines in maintaining social distancing at this time. Because Pastor Dave is particularly susceptible to this virus, the congregation who comes will be watching the same video service that is available online. On May 24 and 31 there will be a mix of live (like the singing) and video (like the sermon). Then, unless the virus flares up in our area, we will have everything live in June with Pastor Frank Feltis as our preacher while Pastor Dave is undergoing his transplant.
It will be good to be back together.
